Softball 2024

Registration for the 2024 Softball season is open February 12 and will end Friday March 22*

***Due to limited number of participants to appropriately field a team KYAA will be offering softball for U8 only this season.

U10 ad U12 age groups are encouraged to participate in the SAU16 league through Exeter or Hampton programs. See below for player evaluation day for Exeter.

U8 (8 and under): This age group is for 6(+)-8 year olds who are either too old to play T-ball or are ready to move up and is designed to transition girls from tee ball to softball. It is instructional and typically scores or standings not are kept. Goals are to develop fundamental skills and a love for the game. Coaches pitch to minimize downtime and to allow maximum at-bats and plays in the field. The intent is to keep the game moving to provide maximum reps for everyone. Players rotate to all positions.

U10 (10 and under): Unfortunately due to limited participants KYAA will be unable to provide a U10 team locally this year. However if you have an athlete that would still like to participate in the SAU16 U10 league your athlete can play in Exeter.

U12- Unfortunately due to limited participants KYAA will be unable to provide a U12 team locally this year. However if you have an athlete that would still like to participate in the SAU16 U12 league your athlete can play in Exeter.

U10 and U12 participates are asked to attend evaluation day on March 9 th 2024 starting at noon at Philips Exeter https://www.exeterbaseball.com/event/show/545170119
